NCIA and Jus Mundi Announce Partnership for Sharing Exclusive Non-Confidential Arbitration Awards

The Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA) and Jus Mundi are delighted to announce a partnership to exclusively share non-confidential NCIA arbitration awards and related NCIA materials globally, for the benefit of the public good.

Under the partnership with NCIA, Jus Mundi will host select NCIA non-confidential arbitration awards and related information, allowing the general public to search these materials using Jus Mundi’s advanced AI-based platform and open research tools.

Speaking about the partnership, Lawrence Muiruri Ngugi, CEO of the NCIA, stated that:

“As a Centre for arbitration, NCIA recognises the value of the twin principles of transparency and confidentiality. This collaboration provides a healthy balance between the two by respecting confidentiality whilst enabling transparency. NCIA will strive to support business - settle disputes on the one hand and on the other, promote an environment where learning and knowledge may be appropriately shared.”

Jean-Rémi de Maistre, CEO of Jus Mundi, said that:

“NCIA is one of the mainstays of international arbitration in the East Africa Region, with its influence as a place of dispute resolution reaching far beyond its home in the heart of Kenya. Part of Jus Mundi’s mission and purpose is to make available international law and arbitration materials to everyone, in every corner of the globe.”

He continued:

“We are delighted that the whole world will now be able to have access to NCIA’s non-confidential arbitration awards and related materials, which will be available on Jus Mundi.”

The partnership will see select NCIA arbitration awards and related materials exclusively hosted on Jus Mundi’s comprehensive international law and arbitration database.
