Dr. Ellias Billy Nyonje, HSC, was appointed to the NCIA Board as a Board Member on 14th November 2025. He is a distinguished business leader and community development advocate, widely recognized for his contribution to private sector growth and entrepreneurship development.

He currently serves as Chairman of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), Vihiga Chapter, a position he first assumed following his election in April 2019 and to which he was subsequently re-elected for a three-year term. In this role, Dr. Nyonje has provided strategic leadership focused on creating a business-friendly environment and strengthening the voice of the private sector within the county.

As Chairman of KNCCI Vihiga Chapter, Dr. Nyonje has been instrumental in fostering collaboration between the business community, the County Government of Vihiga, and development partners. His leadership has emphasized sustainable economic growth, entrepreneurship development, and youth empowerment initiatives.

Dr. Nyonje is also a respected scholar and author, with publications reflecting a keen interest in governance, land issues, and social dynamics. His work contributes to informed discourse on land-related challenges affecting communities and underscores his commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
